Calle Regina

The vibrant street Calle Regina, adorned with graffiti and eclectic bars, served as the canvas for a visual narrative that unfolded between the contrasting worlds of rockeros and matachines (traditional folk dancers).  Conceived in 2019 this series captures the striking interplay of tradition and rebellion in a society marked by conservatism and collectivism. The Calle Regina Series seeks to illuminate the resilience and unique narratives of those who defy conformity, celebrating diversity and testifying to the boundless capacity for expression.
